It is all about engagement!
Go deep, not wide:
A blog is a way of building a community of like-minded people and so, if you are discussing a topic, it is likely this community will already have a rough idea of the topic. Due to this, you should go into the more advanced or opinionative parts of a topic, which can widen your readers knowledge and encourage them to ask questions or have discussions amongst themselves.
Headlines:
If a person is searching for a blog, most will only read the title and move on, as such your title should capture the curiosity of the reader and make them want to click on the link and read the full blog. This will help increase the traffic to your blog, however, the content inside is what will make people stay.
Engage with your audience:
If you don't respond and engage with your audience, why would they want to engage with your blog? By responding to your readers, they are more likely to feel valued and seen, deepening the sense of community we mentioned above. This can also help in learning what you can improve on or change to suit your readers.
Be unique:
This can be as simple as including some little tips you have, creating creative videos, weekly updates on your dog, whatever you choose. This will help differentiate your blog from others and make people more likely to share the blog to their friends. If this is genuine and not fake, people will also be more likely to connect and once again increases the sense of community.
